Registration for this year’s BDM is now open! The meeting will be held 23-25th October at Flatford Mill in Suffolk; It is being organised by the University of Essex.

Following the great success of the previous Polar Marine Diatom Workshops (Yamagata, Nebraska, Sydney and Cardiff) the 5th Polar Marine Diatom Workshop will be held at Salamanca University, Spain, from 19th – 24th July 2015.
If you are interested in receiving the first circular (probably in December 2014), or in offering a session based on your favourite diatom, please send an email to me, M. The meeting is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Hustedt collection (now Hustedt Diatom Study Centre).
