26th International Diatom Symposium
by Ric Jordan |
POSTPONED TO AUGUST 2022 DUE TO COVID
Our own society meeting! The International Society for Diatom Research will be held in 2020 in Yamagata, Japan (23-28 August).
The biannual symposium serves as an important forum for presenting and discussing all aspects of diatom research. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase state-of-the-art science, describe new techniques, and inform colleagues of recent discoveries relating to diatom systematics, ecology, biogeography, nanotechnology, paleolimnology, taxonomy, and metabolomics.
Once again, the Young Diatomists will be running their own sessions, so we would like to encourage all students to attend these events and to participate by presenting talks and posters. We also plan to organise a number of workshops, and to have demonstrations and booths from diatom-related companies and institutes. We would like to cordially invite you to register for our symposium and help us to make this a truly great meeting !!
I look forward to seeing you in Yamagata !!
Richard Jordan (IDS 2020 Convenor, on behalf of the local organizing committee)
