Cancellation of the International Botanical Congress

The International Botanical Congress (IBC) which publishes the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi and plants (ICN) has cancelled the meeting that was due to take place in Brazil in 2023 because of the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The next meeting will instead take place in Madrid, Spain, in July 2024, organised by the Sociedad Botánica Española (SEBOT) and Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid (RJB, CSIC). You can find out more about the cancellation and the revised meeting in 2024 here.
