ISDR Working Groups

 The current ISDR working groups are:

Aims of ISDR. Current members: Rosa Trobajo (chair), Becky Bixby, Andrea Burfeid, Marco Cantonati, Xu Chen, Paul Hamilton, Anrich Kock, Shigeki Mayama, Shinya Sato, David Williams, Yuhang Li, Jonas Zimmermann. This group works to raise the profile of ISDR as a dynamic, supportive scientific society with benefits for all members.

Governance. Current members: Martyn Kelly (chair), Eileen Cox, Ingrid Jüttner, Keely Mills, Bart Van de Vijver. To keep the ISDR constitution and associated documentation in line with UK law and promote high standards of behaviour amongst members and officers.

Web. Current members: Sarah Spaulding (chair), Andrea Burfeid, Xu Chen, Maria Kahlert, Somayyeh Kheri, Yuhang Li, Anrich Kock, Kálmán Tapolczai, Jana Kulichova, Keely Mills, Lihua Ran, Jonas Zimmermann. To maintain ISDR website and create content (isdr.org). Welcome to our new members Lihua, Yuhang, Kálmán, and Jana!

Future IDS. Current members: Jonathan Taylor (chair), Xavier Benito, Andrea Burfeid, Mark Edlund, Paul Hamilton, Regina Jahn, Ric Jordan, Anrich Kock, Linda Medlin, Shinya Sato, Rosa Trobajo, Bart Van de Vijver, Kálmán Tapolczai. To establish guidelines for best practices for future IDS meetings by gathering experiences from previous IDS meetings, ideas for special sessions and activities.

Diatom Collections. Current members: Bart Van de Vijver (chair), Marco Cantonati, Mark Edlund, Charlotte Goeyers, Paul Hamilton, Regine Jahn, Ingrid Jüttner, David Mann, Linda Medlin, Tanja Schuster, Carlos Wetzel, David Williams. To identify common problems that historical collections are facing and identify opportunities for safeguarding and supporting them.

 

Members are welcome to join any of these groups. Contribute your ideas to our society.
