I am a researcher at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Sciences at the University of Szczecin, Poland. My research focuses on the taxonomy, ecology, and molecular diversity of diatoms living in extreme and alkaline environments, such as soda lakes. I am interested in understanding how these microorganisms adapt to harsh conditions and how their ecological traits reflect environmental changes. In my work, I combine morphological and molecular approaches to explore the biodiversity of these unique aquatic ecosystems.
