PUBLICATION: Diatoms of Montana

We are happy to announce that Volume 2 of Loren Bahls’ “Diatoms of Montana” has been published by the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia.

Both volumes represent an illustrated (LM) catalogue of diatoms found in samples from Montana and adjacent areas of Western North America, now deposited at the ANSP Diatom Herbarium and The University of Montana Herbarium in Missoula.

Bahls, L. (2023) Diatoms of Montana and Western North America: Catalog and Atlas of Species in the Montana Diatom Collection, Volume 2 The Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia, Special Publication 27, 1-600.

If you wish to purchase the books, please contact the ANSP Diatom Herbarium manager Laura Aycock. The price for each volume is $55 for US customers, and $55 + shipping cost to customers from other countries.
